Adobe’s Photoshop Express is the lightweight online version of the image-editing leviathan that is Photoshop — or rather some Photoshop-style menus on the greybackground of Photoshop Elements.
Despite being much lighter than Photoshop, Express is still one of the more ponderous online editors, taking its time to switch between modes, upload photos and preview changes. This may be because we’re using it in Australia, however: you’ll have to say you live in the US to use the current beta version. It allows photo upload from Facebook, Photobucket and Picasa.
2. Splashup
Splashup looks very much like Photoshop. It’s a layer-based, lightweight editor similar to offline editor Paint.net that can pull in images from Facebook, Flickr,Photobucket or any URL you specify.
3. Flauntr
Flaunt R is a great online image editing service which has a wide range of features. Moreover it’s quite fast and easy to use. It has different sections like; editR, textR, stylR, profilR, etc. It works in almost every browser without any problems.
4. Pixer.us
Need a quick fix for that photo? With pixer.us you can edit your photos online using only your browser. Upload your photo using the “load image” form. In a few seconds, the image will be displayed on screen and you can start to play with it. After you’re done fixing your photo click on the “Save” button to download it using your preferred file format. All modifications are done in a non-destructive way. Your image will always keep it’s original quality!
5. Snipshot
nipshot, formerly known as Pixoh, has just five options: resize, enhance, crop, rotate and adjust. The interface is equally clean and simple. It has an API for integrating photos with your own site, and a Firefox extension and bookmarklets that allow you to right-click on any online image and pull it into Snipshot for editing.
6. Picnik
Picnik is a free program that allows you to edit and alter your photos by linking up with the places you store and share them, such as Facebook, MySpace, Flickr,Photobucket and Picasa’s online albums, as well as those stored on your computer.
7. Fotoflexer
Fotoflexer allows you to edit photos directly from MySpace and Facebook. It has a lot of features. You can add various kinds of effects to your pics, add decorations, resize, recolor, smoothen, etc. You can also add layers to your pic.

SumoPaint
ReplyDeleteSumoPaint is another free online and desktop photo editor with basic and advanced features. You can upload a photo from your computer or from a URL.
Basic overall photo editing like brightness/contrast, hue/saturation, color balance, and levels can be achieved from the menu bar on top of the editor.
The left pane has the drawing tools which include several shapes. One, in particular, is called the Symmetry tool, which “mirrors” a shape’s stroke, creating a symmetric pattern.
Besides tweaking images, I find Sumopaint to be useful in creating simple logos using the text and brush tools.
Other than the ads that appear on both sides of the web editor and intermittently crash Chrome (the tool uses Flash to run the web version), this photo editor gets the job done easily and is more than suitable for users who are not photo editing experts.
